Builder is the first and only technical training facility for construction artisans in Kenya that exclusively trains women and actively promotes gender equality in the industry.

We work to support low-income women to break cycles of systemic inequity by providing them with the holistic training, tools and employment support they need to establish successful skilled construction trade careers and livelihoods in which they may thrive.

ADVOCACY

We organize initiatives for recent alumnae artisans, industry professionals and regulators to break gender bias, improve perceptions of women artisans in the industry and support the professional development of women artisans.

REVENUE

Whenever possible, we pursue initiatives that generate revenue for reinvestment in the Buildher program while creating job opportunities for women artisans.
